1961 Packer Pontiac 1:18

FREE SHIPPING! Brand new in unopened box. 1:18 model car. Packer Pontiac was a popular Pontiac dealer in Detroit, Michigan. Starting in 1959 they sponsored a drag racing car for advertising purposes. This model represents the 1961 Pontiac Catalina, racing number 7-11 3rd. from Packer Pontiac. This car was seldom beaten and was very popular at Detroit Dragway and other drag strips in Michigan, Ohio, Illinois and Indiana. This car was runner up at the 1962 NHRA Nationals in the Super Stock class. (7-11 was leading on the final trophy dash, and at about the 1,000 foot mark a rocker arm stud pulled, allowing just enough time for the other car to squeak by). The car you will receive is a brand new model in an unopened box. BTW, I was the person who commissioned these cars to be built. My Boy Scout Leader, Stan Antlocer owned the original car. It was destroyed on a freeway towing accident in 1962. Stan and I recreated his original car and I still own it. I commissioned a company in Detroit to make a model of my car for others to enjoy. If you choose to get one, you won’t be disappointed! Free shipping, just in time for the Holidays!
